  • Staffing Resources Float Pool (ICU/MS/Tele/PCU)
  • Float Pool includes ICU, MedSurg Tele, and PCU across both campuses
  • Inpatients holding in ED
  • Average census is 20 patients across units
    • Job Requirements
    • At least 1 year in ICU setting
    • Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS
    • Experience with titrating drips: Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Insulin
      • Schedule Information
      • 7-7 for AM and PM shifts
      • Schedule published 6 weeks out for 4 weeks at a time
      • Weekend Requirements: Every Other
      • Holiday Requirements: Included in perm staff rotation
      • Call or standby requirement: Yes, on shifts with excessive staff
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Unit/Department specific orientation: 8 hour day of general hospital orientation, 12 hour shift at West MedTele and 12 hour shift at PCU at West
        • East campus is smaller and easy to navigate
          • Additional Details
          • Charge Nurse will not take assignments
          • Nurse:Patient Ratios: PCU 1:4, MedSurg Tele 1:5-6
          • Utilization of nurse aids in all settings
          • Monitor techs monitor PCU and Medsurg Tele, nurses must interpret strips
          • Distance between campuses is around 20-25 minutes
          • Scrub Color/Dress Code: Solid color professional scrubs, Navy scrubs starting October Associated topics: care, ccu, domiciliary, intensive, nurse clinical, nurse rn, recovery, registed, staff nurse, unit
