  • Regional hospital in the beautiful White Mountains of Arizona has a need for an ICU travel nurse. Three 12-hour day shifts per week and a 36-hour guarantee. With a plethora of outdoor activities and only a couple of hours to Flagstaff and Phoenix, this is the perfect opportunity to experience the best of Arizona!
    • Job Requirements
    • Candidates should have ACLS, BLS, NIHSS and an active AZ or compact license to apply.
    • 2 years of experience required
    • Need experience with basic ICU equipment
    • Common cases: Left Heart Caths, Coronary Interventions, STEMIs, IVUS, IFR/FFR, Temporary Pacemaker Insertion, IABP Insertion
    • Most common: pneumonia, vents, post caths, EVAR, surgeries, ETOH/OD, ARDS, DKA, CVA after tPA, afib RVR, sepsis, renal failure
    • Experience with Amiodorone, Cardizem, Levophed, Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl, Vecuronium, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Lasix, Insulin, Heparin (weight based), Norepinepherine
      • Schedule Information
      • 12 hr Nights 1800-0630 -We have a modified self-scheduling but allow people to block schedule as best as we can.
      • Weekend Requirement: 3 weekend shifts per 4 week schedule minimum.
      • Orientation: Every Monday
        • Unit Specific Information
        • # of beds: 12 beds
        • Ratios typically 1:2
        • Support staff on unit: Patient Care Technician, Health Unit Secretary
        • Nurse manager occasionally see patients (when needed)
        • Type of equipment utilized: GE floor mounted C-Arm and Table, Volcano System, Change Healthcare Cardiology Hemo System, Getinge IABP
          • Additional Details
          • Floating Requirement: May float to ED or MS if experienced
          • The number of vents vary monthly; typically 1-2 at all times.
          • For Direct: Who else is on their vendor panel; Secondary MSP with ProLink
          • Is your POC the manager or HR: HR POC
          • What will get our candidates interviewed the quickest? Clean files; Good Sizzle Statement; All certs
          • Scale of 1-5 (1= FAST, 5=SLOW), how quickly do the managers call our clinicians? 3
